ASE – ProCurve Network Management [2008]

The ASE - ProCurve Network Management [2008] certification has been superceded. If you have completed the training courses for this certification and would like to obtain the credential, you must pass all exams by July 1, 2010.

If you have not begun ASE - ProCurve Network Management [2008], we highly recommend that you obtain the most current credential, ASE - HP ProCurve Mobility [2010].

Description

Accredited System Engineer
Given customer business requirements, an ASE (Accredited System Engineer) is able to design, implement and troubleshoot a ProCurve based network solution with the following elements: advanced switching and interior routing for IP networks, core and edge network infrastructure incorporating backbones, VLANs, and network access security.

Specific focus is on:
  1. Designing, implementing and validating ProCurve functionality (e.g. built-in security and management)
  2. Ensuring interoperability with multi-vendor equipment
  3. Advanced configuration, customization and performance manaement of data networks. An ASE will act as a ProCurve specialist/escalation point for AIS and APS certified professionals
By selecting the Network Management elective, the ASE will be able to implement the ProCurve product features and technologies that manage Adaptive EDGE solutions.

Audience
Anyone who deploys complex solutions based on HP technologies including: HP Reseller and Service Authorized Partners, Customer IT Staff, HP Field Presales and Competency Center Solution Architects, HPS Field and Call Center Support Engineers.

Follow these steps to achieve this certification

Apply for an HP Learner ID & Prometric User ID
Verify that you have your HP Learner ID and Prometric User ID. These two ID’s are required to register for the certification exams.

Obtain the required prerequisite certification.

Complete recommended training
Complete the recommended training courses.

Although it is not a requirement, it is highly recommended that you complete the training courses and their associated prerequisites in this order. It is not a requirement to complete the training to qualify for the certification exam.

Register for a certification with The Learning Center, before taking an exam.

Pass the exam/s
Register and pass the required certification exam/s. Note: Exam fees vary by country/region.

Pass the required certification exams.
After you have successfully completed the required exam, you will receive an email notification that you have become ASE - ProCurve Network Management [2008] certified. You can track your progress through The Learning Center. Click here for more information.
